The juxtaposition of color and shape. This one-of-a-kind approach is the inspiration of each design and creates a timeless aesthetic. the gallery collection The Gallery Collection is a design collaboration with contemporary, lampwork bead artists. Light is the magical element when working with glass. It plays with the dimensions of color and creates a sense of “worlds within worlds”. I find inspiration in designing jewelry for this collection by using mixed media to compliment the glass. Semi- precious stones, clay, wood, crystal, metal or shell beads develops texture and highlights the range of color found in the lampwork glass. Each design is numbered and comes with an information card. All necklaces are one-of-a-kind! treasures collection This collection appeals to the adventurer and collector in all of us. Selecting a jewelry design is finding a treasure! We enjoy searching for and collecting special objects. Beads are the treasures of many cultures and traditions. A mix of rare, vintage glass beads are used as well as beads made from a wide range of materials. Pearls, semi-precious stones, cultural ambulates, clay, wood, medallions, carvings, shells, crystals and metals are collected from around the world to use in creating designs for this collection. It takes about 3-5 years of collecting before a necklace design is revealed. I believe that the design is complete when it has achieved a timeless quality. |
